I enjoy helping organizations of all types work more effectively and I have participated in enough frustrating meetings myself to know the value of effective leadership! I am available to assist groups who wish to clarify Vision and Mission, do Strategic Planning and Build Community. The tools at my disposal include:  The Myers Briggs Type Indicator, Dialogue, Emotional Intelligence, Mediation, Non-Violent Communication, Appreciative Inquiry, Open Space Technology and Future Search.

I believe my teaching and mentoring style combines the best of didactic and experiential methods.  Preparing to teach assists me in clarifying my own world view and watching others learn more about themselves and the world is an exciting and gratifying endeavor.  I serve as Consultant to the Intern Program of Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, and as Adjunct Faculty at Perkins School of Theology and at Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas.  I am also available for presentations, workshops, seminars and retreats on a variety of topics, including:  Parenting with Emotional Intelligence, Creating a Successful Marriage, Forgiveness, Grief and Loss, Divorce Recovery, Transforming Stress, Creating Community, Dialogue, Spirituality Over the Life Course, Working With Dreams and Creative Writing.

I am licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapy Supervisor in the state of Texas.  I enjoy participating in the collaborative process of training and mentoring “new” therapists; as my supervisees grow, so do I.  Providing other therapists with the gift of supportive, encouraging supervision is both an element of my professional legacy and one way in which I “give back” to the profession that has nourished, challenged, and energized me for many years.  I view supervision as the creative integration of analysis, intuition, and  coaching, and it is work to which I come with both humility and empathy.

Labyrinth Facilitator

I have found the practice of walking meditation, particularly using the ancient archetypal form of the labyrinth, to be both a nurturing spiritual practice as well as an effective tool for individual and group discernment and clarification.  Our Space has its own labyrinth that is available for clients to use before and after therapy sessions Monday-Friday and for group events with prior scheduling.  Contact me to create a labyrinth experience specifically designed for you or your group.

Discerning your life path.

          Energizing and healing your steps.

               Enjoying the creative journey.
